A MOMENTOUS TIME FOR WINGRAVE PRE-SCHOOL
In glorious Spring sunshine, on Saturday 19th March 2011 Wingrave Pre-School celebrated moving to its superb brand new, purpose built premises adjoining Wingrave C.E.Combined School. Joining over 130 energetic, happy guests were very special visitors; Rt Hon John Bercow MP, Peppa Pig and the fabulously entertaining Dingle Fingle. Much delight and elation was shared by all as Rt Hon John Bercow MP delivered an inspiring speech, cut the ribbon and declared the wonderful state of the art premises open.
Basking in beautiful sunshine, guests of all ages mingled and played. To add to the brilliant party, all children and adults were overjoyed to feast on a breathtaking luxury cake especially designed for the Pre-School by Inspired By You.
Wingrave Pre-School has been in existence since 1966. Since 1974 it has been successfully based at the Wingrave Community Centre sharing the facility with many other village organisations. It is a momentous point in the Pre-School’s history to witness the move to the wonderful new setting next to the main school. The move to such a superb facility has been made possible by a number of people and organisations. Bucks County Council have invested significantly in the refurbishment of the old dilapidated disused building. The Trustees, Governors and Mrs Gurton, the Head of Wingrave C.E. Combined School have also been major supporters of Wingrave Pre- School and transforming a vision of ‘side by side’ operations into reality.
Additionally grants sourced through The Wingrave with Rowsham Parish Council and the Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust have been incredibly important in providing attractive new internal equipment for the children.
Last but definitely not least, the Pre-School staff and Voluntary Management Committee have worked very hard to achieve a smooth and successful transition.
A major benefit of having its own beautiful dedicated premises is that the Pre-School can now offer afternoon sessions as well as mornings. To check on availability of sessions for your child call Kelly Targell, Wingrave Pre-School Manager 01296 682217.

We are very pleased that the children have all settled into the new building so easily! We hope you are getting some good feed-back from them? Please bear with us while we see what works best in regards to registering the children and at drop off and home time. Their safety is the most important thing to us but I would also like to make sure that the system we put into place is as easy and stress free for parents and carers as possible. So please let me know if you have any ideas, suggestions or feed-back.
